This privacy policy sets out how Firthfields Community Association (hereafter "the Association") uses and protects any information that you give the Association. The Association is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified, then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement. The Association may change this policy from time to time and the updated policy will be displayed on our website. You should check this page from time to time to ensure that you are happy with any changes.

The Association does not collect any information on it’s website and does not use Cookies.

What we collect:
We may collect the following information in writing, by email, by text or verbally:

  • Name
  • Contact information including email address and telephone number
  • Demographic information such as address and postcode

Why we collect this information:
We require this information if you enquire about hiring the Firthfields Community Centre (hereafter “the centre”), run an activity group, buy tickets to one of our events, are a member of the 200 Club or are a member of the Firthfields Gardening Club. This information will help us to understand your needs and provide you with a better service.

What we do with the information we gather:
We may use the information to contact you regarding your hire of the centre, your activity group, your Club or events at the Firthfields Community Centre.
We may use the information for internal record keeping.
We may use the information to improve the service we provide.
We may periodically send promotional emails via TT-Mail about forthcoming events at the centre or other information that we think you may find interesting using the email address that you have provided. You will have the option to unsubscribe from our Mailing List using the link available in each email.

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect.

Our website may contain links to other websites of interest. However, once you have used these links to leave our site, you should note that we do not have any control over that other website. Therefore, we cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information that you provide whilst visiting such sites and this privacy statement does not govern such sites.   • Whenever you are asked to fill in a form, look for the box that you can tick to indicate that you do not want the email information to be added to the Association’s Mailing List.

We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we are required by law to do so.

If you believe that any information we are holding on you is incorrect or incomplete, please let us know as soon as possible, using the contact details below. We will promptly correct any information found to be incorrect.

Collection of sensitive personal data:
GDPR specifies a number of personal data categories, which it classes as "sensitive", e.g health information, ethnic origin or religion etc.
Firthfields Community Association does not knowingly collect any sensitive data.

The request can be made through any of the contact methods listed and is provided for a one-off fee of £10 (payable in advance).

We reserve the right to update this privacy policy at our own discretion or without warning in line with legislation in force at the time.
